Tetyana Tarsenova-Zavodovska: «We participated in the project, when the memories were still fresh — I mean protests in Kyiv. We held the performance in the center of Ivano-Frankivsk, on the Sheptytskyi Square. We didn’t have enough patches for all the willing — we’ve had only 200 of them. Some people even tried to write quatrains. Many of them brought their own brushes and paint; they came with children and grandparents. When we saw this huge crowd, we decided to give only one patch per a family or per a child. To me, it’s very symbolic — to write your wish, a motto or words of love to Ukraine on the patch of tent with stains of human blood, sweat and tears on it — it’s like black and white, like lights and shadows. You tried to bring these things together with your project and create a new map of Ukraine».
